| What is that loud noise? |
|
Describing sounds with words is very difficult! Some of the more obvious sounds that might be heard emanating from Garden Island include:
- Blasting - Whooshing and hissing - similar to a compressed air line (used for operating a jack hammer);
- Fabrication - Sharp banging;
- Fans - Constant drumming could be either high or low pitched;
- Cranes, Forklifts - Sharp beeping / safety warning
- Loud Voices - The Public Address system on ships and the Navy site
