 Some of the work activities on Garden Island, particularly blasting and refit work, generate air borne particles in the form of dust or soot. The EPA license and WorkCover regulations determine safe standards for operation which determine the manner in which the blasting and refit operations can be conducted.
Thales Australia has commissioned an independent consultant to assess and make recommendations to modify the existing air quality monitoring and management program where required. Thales Australia seeks to act responsibly both in relation to its employees and nearby residents. |
