The typical waste stream generated from Thales Australia's lease area consists of:
- Garnet blasting grit mixed with paint particles, items of disposable PPE, rags and general maintenance waste
- Scrap ferrous and non-ferrous materials (mostly steel)
- Waste oil
- Oily water
- General garbage collected outside the dock area

| Thales Australia has a Waste Management System that applies to all work activities carried out by ADI within the leased area of Garden Island. This system incorporates a number of procedures and practices to ensure that any environmental requirements are being complied with. |
