The provision of adequate lighting on site is critical for occupational health, safety and security reasons. The site has two forms of lighting - street lighting which is generally not adjustable and operator controlled lighting, located at the various work locations and on mobile equipment around Garden Island.
Thales Australia has modified operator controlled lighting on site to reduce the level of glare and intensity where practicable and monitors the impact of lighting regularly.
